NORTH EAST based The NBT Group is celebrating 25 years of service from one of its longest-serving employees, who joined the business at just 16-years-old.
Louise Fisk was first appointed as office junior in 1993, and quickly rose through the ranks working across the business’ marketing, sales and accounts departments, before taking up her current role in purchasing as supply chain buyer.
Established over a century ago, The NBT Group has pivoted to become a fully integrated supply chain management company which carries out thousands of transactions per month for a range of clients, including those in the automotive, rail, food & drink and manufacturing sectors.
Louise has played an integral role in supporting CEO Toby Bridges, great grandson of the business’ founder who stepped up to take over the helm in 2012, with the family firm’s recent transition. This transfer of leadership has seen the expansion of its service offering, as well as staff growth and extensive client acquisition.
Louise said: “I am delighted to have reached such a significant milestone in my career with The NBT Group. Since day one of joining the company I have always been encouraged to reach my potential, and I have been supported consistently in this by the senior team.
“I started my first role at the business as office junior, and at the time I didn’t anticipate the longevity of my time at The NBT Group. Although it is a family business it isn’t afraid of change or disrupting the marketplace, making it an exciting place to work.
“We are constantly looking ahead as a business and adapting to offer our clients the best possible service. As The NBT Group journey continues I am looking forward to being a part of its continued growth.”
Toby Bridges, The NBT Group’s CEO, added: “Louise is one of our longest-serving members of the team. I joined the business just after her, and I am very happy to be celebrating my service anniversary alongside such a valued and dedicated member of The NBT Group family.
“Louise has shown an immense loyalty and commitment to the values and ethos of the business over the years, adapting to a myriad of change and helping us to pivot to where we are now. We’re on a journey at NBT, and this growth has involved significant transformation, which Louise has navigated brilliantly.
“Over the last 25 years, she has acted with integrity and has helped those around her to develop personally and professionally, in keeping with the vision we have for The NBT Group.”
